Kim Ware's group The Good Graces has always provided a pleasant experience, but it hasn't been until their new five-song EPBring On the Tambourines! that they've really made much of a lasting impression. Relaxed, direct, poignant, honest, funny and with a mouth like a sailor, it's the record the band's been needing to make. It's like they jumped off from the simplest premises – "Bad Driver" is about a bad driver, "I Miss the '90s" is about missing the '90s, etc. – and ran with 'em, but it's the clever writing and unpretentious performances that make it work.

The Good Graces Gigs and Reviews

The Good Graces will be performing on Thursday night, October 21st, at Twains in Decatur, GA. Cousins opens up for us at 8:30pm.
Lots of reviews on the blogosphere. Here's the latest:
THE GOOD GRACES - Bring on the Tambourines! (www.eskimorecords.com) Offering up five tracks worth of nicely harmonic and humorous pop-rock songs in a snappy and straightforward fifteen minutes, this pleasingly jaunty EP CD certainly hits the tart and tuneful spot. Kim Ware’s warm, inviting voice and sharp, witty songwriting make for a potent double whammy. The wickedly funny and profane lyrics do the amusingly sardonic trick as well, with “Bad Driver” and “I Miss the 90s” rating as definite gut-busting highlights. The group’s firm grasp of catchy melodies qualifies as another major asset. But it’s this band’s winningly snarky sense of cynical humor which in turn makes this CD such a treat to listen to. - Joe Wawyrzniak, www.JerseyBeat.com

Another mp3 download of new music from The Good Graces

My alt folk band, The Good Graces, is giving away our new EP, Bring On The Tambourines, for FREE - one song at a time.
The EP's third song to be made available, "Pretty New Song" is here:
http://bringonthetambourines.com
This is my personal favorite off the EP, and features Kim on vocals, acoustic gtr, and drums, John on electric guitars and leads, and me on organ. Jerry Kee did a phenomenal job with other sonic flourishes and mixing, and Carl Saff provided the mastering polish.
The Good Graces are Kim Ware, John McNicholas, and Jim Combs
